His father was a chef and his mother was politically active. They seperated when Oliver was thirteen. Oliver settled down into a private school, finishing out his secondary education. His father moved to the US to get married and opened a restaurant in Florida. Oliver's mother is still based out of England but travels often due to her career. Oliver spent most of his academic breaks traveling as well or going to Florida to get to know his new step-mother, Chelsea, and her children, both very young when the couple first married. Oliver went to school in the United States for a couple of years and then continued his vacation all over the map. Even after graduation he pursued a study of langauges, becoming a translator and settling in England. When his step-mother passed away Oliver moved out to Florida to lend his father some help with the girls. Even though his step-sisters are finishing highschool/in college, Oliver has stayed in Tampa working as a translator in the British consulate. His mother Melisande Shahrizai is a traitor who twice attempted to seize the D'Angeline throne. Imriel was raised with no knowledge of his parents by a priest of Elua. During his childhood he was kidnapped by slavers and taken to the Darsangaas a pure sacrifice to the growing power of the Drujan. Imriel was rescued from slavery and abuse by Phèdre nó Delaunay and her consort Joscelin Verreuil. After a long trip with the couple Imriel was taken home to Terre de Ange where he formally adopted into House Montreve. To Imriel, Phedre and Joscelin are his family. He has issues with his mother, and it took until he was a teen to warm up to his mother’s kin. As a young adult Imriel went to study in Tiberium and to discover who trained Phèdre’s mentor, Anafiel Delaunay.
